Adolphe J. DuMont 2008 Central avenue, Wilmette, who was shot in the left arm at about 1:10 o'clock Tuesday morning at Main street and Wilmette avenue by three armed men who forced his car to the curb there, died in the Evanston hospital at about 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses of the shooting were: Bert Woods, 235 Central Park avenue, Wilmette; Howard Wilson, 1315 Madison avenue, Evanston, and L. W. Seaborg, 1124 Darrow avenue, Evanston. DuMont is survived by his widow and three children. He was 44 years old. Last October he leased the place at 2008 Central avenue where he had been living.
