Myrtle Holloway, 14 years old, 330 Oxford road, Kenilworth, and John Edson McEldowney, 19 of 620 Abbotsford road, Kenilworth, died as a result of injuries received when the automobile in which they were riding crashed through lowered gates at the Winnetka avenue crossing the Chicago and North Western railway in Winnetka and was struck by a northbound express and milk train at 12:25 o'clock Tuesday morning. The car was driven by James Goetz, 19, of 989 Cherry street, Winnetka. Goetz is hospitalized with injuries. Funeral services for Miss Holloway are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth. Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery. Miss Holloway is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Holloway, and by a sister, Helen M. Holloway. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McEldowney, and three sisters survive the McEldowney boy. The sisters are Mrs. Laurence Meyering of Highland Park, Mrs. John G. Wittbold of Winnetka and Mrs. John M. Brushingham of Milwaukee. The funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at the Graceland cemetery chapel.
