Mrs. Axel E. Swenson, 56, mother of Mrs. Rodney N. Perrill, 1500 Lake avenue, Wilmette, died at her home in Asheville, N. C., Wednesday, July 24, after an illness of several years. The Swensons were former residents of Chicago and Crystal Lake. Mrs. Swenson was born at St. Margaret’s Hope in the Orkney Islands, Scotland, and came to Chicago in 1887. Besides the daughter in Wilmette, Mrs. Swenson is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Margaret Erlandson, of Asheville, N. C., and a son, Earl, also of that place. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock in Lake Geneva, Wis., where burial took place.
