Edward J. Sherry, 22 W. Goethe street, Chicago, for many years a resident of Wilmette and a member of the real estate firm of Sherry-Wersted company, Chicago, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 14, a victim of influenza. Private funeral services were held in Memorial Park, Dr. Hubert Carleton of St. Augustine's Episcopal church officiating.
Mr. Sherry had been in ill health for many years. He sold his Wilmette residence and had practically retired from business in the hope of regaining his health. He was taken seriously ill on July 12 and the following day lapsed into unconsciousness and passed away suddenly. His wife and daughter, Maysie, were at the bedside when the end came.
Surviving Mr. Sherry are his widow, two daughters, Maysie and Mrs. Herbert Reid, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Cook.
