Secretary of War James W. Good, a congressman from 1909 to 1921 and a resident of Evanston from 1921 until he moved to Washington to take over his duties in the Cabinet under President Hoover, died Monday night at the Walter Reed hospital, Washington, D. C.

Mr. Good was accorded a state funeral at the White House. He was buried Wednesday at Cedar Rapids, Ia.
