Mrs. Mathilda Rich dies following long illness

Mrs. Mathilda Rich, wife of James E. Rich of 1016 Linden avenue, Wilmette, died at her home Thursday, August 20. For the past 20 years, Mrs. Rich had been invalided with arthritis, rheumatism, and apoplexy, and had been in a state of coma since previous Sunday.
Mrs. Rich was born in Chicago 71 years ago, and lived in its vicinity all her life. She had lived in Wilmette for 18 years.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Rich left two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Levy of 1016 Linden avenue, Wilmette, Mrs. Ruth Chambers of 809 Prairie avenue, Wilmette, three sons, Harry Rich of Spokane, Wash., William and Nelson Rich of Jersey City; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ada Wedekind, and a brother, Ed Windberg, both of Chicago.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Scott’s Funeral parlors in Wilmette, with burial at Graceland.
