Full Text

Funeral services for Fred William Burricht, 19 years old, of 835 Locust avenue, Winnetka, who passed away at the Evanston hospital the last Sunday from injuries sustained while playing football, were held from the home last Wednesday with interment at Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Burricht, who was the son of Mrs. William H. Grover, sustained the injuries which resulted fatality while participating in a game on October 2 at the Highwood Athletic club field. He was a member of the Highwood team and had played only a few minutes before he was injured. He was taken out of the game at that time but showed no after effects it was. He stayed on the bench until the close of the game and attended the club’s weekly meeting the following evening. On Tuesday of last week, however, he became ill and was removed to the hospital where he died a few days later. It is believed that he sustained internal injuries.
