- Full Text
Mrs. Alice Ross McGill, mother of Mrs. Anna J. Moeller and Miss Frances J. Ross, with whom she made her home at 207 Fifth street, Wilmette, died suddenly, January 8, at the home of Mrs. William H. Egan, Milwaukee, Wis., where she and her daughters had gone to attend the wedding of her nephew, Edward Egan. Death was due to heart trouble.
Mrs. McGill and her daughters went to Milwaukee Wednesday of last week. The wedding was Thursday. That day Mrs. McGill suffered a slight sinking spell, but quickly rallied and Friday night when she retired was apparently in normal health. She had planned to return home Saturday. About 6:30 Saturday morning when Miss Ross went to call her mother, she found her dead in bed.
Mrs. McGill was 78 years old, her birthday being January 6, the date of the wedding of her nephew. She was born in Ft. Covington, N. Y. The two daughters are the only surviving members of the family.
The funeral and burial were at Milwaukee, Monday, services being conducted from the home of her nephew. Burial was in the cemetery where a son and daughter, Harry and Alice, who preceded their mother in death, are buried.
