John B. Leggett, a brother of Chief of Police Charles W. Leggett, passed away at his home in Englewood, Sunday, December 26, after an illness of about four months. Burial was at Oakwoods cemetery following services on Wednesday.

Mr. Leggett was born in Englewood in 1870 and was one of the oldest residents of that neighborhood, having resided there all his life. He was 56 years of age and had been connected with the Englewood post office for some time preceding his illness. Chief Leggett is the only surviving member of the immediate family.
