Wilmette Life (Wilmette, Illinois), 8 Oct 1926, p. 11

Full Text

R. H. McCullough, of the Central hotel, was drowned when he fell from the Glenview road bridge over the north branch of the Chicago river last Sunday. McCullough, who had lived in Wilmette for about two years, was thought to have been sitting on the railing of the bridge and to have suddenly become ill and fallen into the water. He was removed from the stream by M. H. Hoffman, who lives nearby, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. An inquest was held Monday at which a verdict of accidental death by drowning was returned. McCullough leaves a wife and two sons, residents of Racine, Wis., where the body was shipped for burial.
