Wilmette Life (Wilmette, Illinois), 13 Aug 1926, p. 7

Full Text

Fred Ward, 64 years old, formerly a resident of Wilmette, dropped dead in his butcher shop at 819 Noyes street, Evanston, last Monday. The cause was heart disease. Ward formerly lived in Wilmette and at one time operated a butcher shop in Hubbard Woods. He was well known to many residents of the north shore. He lived with Michael Schimmel, 2150 Sherman avenue, Evanston, and is said to have relatives in Europe. A curious coincidence was encountered in the investigation of the case when it was learned that Ward's brother dropped dead from heart disease in the same shop eighteen months ago.
