An open verdict of death by accident when their car skidded on a slippery pavement directly in the path of a Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee limited train at the Lake avenue crossing of the Skokie Valley route early last Friday morning, was returned by a coroner's jury at an inquest held in the Scott Undertaking Parlors, in the case of the death of Frank Stupka, Lake avenue, Wilmette, and Walter J. Bill, of Northbrook. It was recommended by the jury that crossing gates be installed a tthe [sic] point of the accident.
