George Schager, of 5407 South Avers avenue, Chicago, jumped off the west side of a northbound Milwaukee limited train on the North Shore Electric line, Tuesday evening, as it was passing through Wilmette, and was struck by another train approaching from the opposite direction, sustaining injuries from which he died.

The accident occurred after 5 o'clock at a point 150 feet north of the Lake avenue station. Schager was taken by the Wilmette police to the Evanston hospital, where he died a few minutes after arriving. The jury in the coroner's investigation held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, returned an open verdict. Schager was president of a watch repairing company at 150 North State street, Chicago.
