Full Text

Peter Klapperich, 19 years old, son of Peter J. Klapperich, 412 Central avenue, was killed last Friday in Chicago when he leaped or fell from an automobile. Young Klapperich, who is a freshman at De Paul university, stopped at the campus of Loyola university on his way home from school. There he met James O'Brien, George Wray and Peter Furlong, all of Chicago. The three were leaving in O'Brien's car when Klapperich is said to have jumped on the running board. When he found that they were going west instead of north he evidently leaped off or fell from the car, fracturing his jaw and his skull. The three youths were held by the police on charges of manslaughter and were later released on bonds of $5,000. Funeral services for Klapperich were held this week.
