Funeral services for Wallace P. Calvin, brother of Mrs. W. R. Blake, 1712 Highland avenue, were held from the church of St. Paul by the Lake, in Chicago, last Wednesday. Burial was at the Graceland cemetery. Mr. Wallace died last week as the result of injuries received in a fire at the Arnold hotel, in East St. Louis, when he rescued 15 persons from death at the cost of his own life. He was so seriously burned that he died three days later in a hospital. He was about 30 years old and had once lived for a time with his sister in Wilmette. At the time of his death he was living in East St. Louis. He was buried with military honors.
