Joseph R. Campbell, 72, a resident of Omaha for 40 years and an employee of The Omaha Bee for all but five years of that period, died Thursday, December 17, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph W. Moody, 1235 Ashland avenue.

Mr. Campbell was employed in the commissioner's office at the county courthouse for two years before he and his wife left Omaha seven months ago, to make their home with their daughter. He was an active member of the Westminister Presbyterian church of Omaha. His wife and daughter are his only survivors.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, December 19, at 2:30 o'clock, from the Moody home, with burial at Memorial Park.
