Full Text

Edward A. Pratt, 1224 Elmwood avenue, was found dead in his garage in the rear of 1223 Elmwood avenue Wednesday evening of this week by Ernest Parker, who lives at the Pratt home. Pratt had left for his business in Chicago about 10 o'clock in the morning, and when he had not returned early in the evening his wife sent Parker to see if his car was in the garage. Parker found the body leaning over the steering wheel of the machine. The hood was open, as if Pratt had been working on it. Physicians said that he had been dead for some time and it was thought that he died while preparing to start the car in the morning. An inquest was held at Scott's undertaking parlor on Central Avenue Thursday morning.
