Former local pastor is called by death [Rev. Harry Briggs Heald]

Members of St. Augustine's Episcopal church were deeply shocked recently to hear of the untimely death of Rev. Harry Briggs Heald, of Pittsburg, a former rector of the local parish.
Mr. Heald, died April 17, after a short illness of pneumonia. He was born in Moravia, Cayuga County, New York, September, 1887, and was educated in St. Stephen's college and Johns Hopkins university, graduating in 1907 from the General Theological seminary. In May of that same year he was ordained by Bishop Parker and priested by Bishop Edsall, in Gethsemane church, Minneapolis, later in the year. He was the first resident priest of the John's church, Linden Hills, Minneapolis from 1907 to 1911 where he did noteworthy work. In 1910 he was married to Miss Leslie M. Donovan, of Minneapolis.
For a year Mr. Heald was curate in St. Luke's church, Evanston, then rector of St. Augustine's church, Wilmette. Before going to St. Andrew's church, Pittsburgh, in December of 1921, Mr. Heald was rector at St. Peter's church, Port Chester, New York, and at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Jefferson, New Hampshire. He leaves two daughters besides his wife.
Services were read by Bishop Alexander Mann in St. Andrew's Protestant Episcopal church, Pittsburgh. The clergy of the diocese attended the service and the vestry of the church served as pall bearers. Burial was in Kensico cemetery, New York.
