Wilbur J. Bruns, 79, owner and operator of San Pedro Restaurant in Wilmette from 1933 to 1965, died May 29 in Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home, Evanston, where he had lived for the past two years. Mr. Bruns was a Wilmette resident from 1913 to 1983. He is survived by two sisters, Iris Reddin of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Sylvia Powell of Boulder, Colorado, and six nieces and nephews. His late sister, Wanda King, operated the restaurant while he served in the armed forces in World War II. The service and interment were private.
