Three companions, William H. Ennis, George B. Burkhard and Elmer B. Tengberg, all of Chicago, also were killed. The party had chartered the ill-fated ship at the Curtiss-Reynolds airport at Glenview for a weekend outing at Mackinac island. Henschen, a licensed pilot, was at the controls. The accident happened only an hour after the takeoff. Mr. Henschen, who was the son of Henry S. and Edith Mountain Henschen, was an executive of the Commonwealth Edison company, with which concern Burkhard and Tengberg were also associated. Surviving Mr. Henschen besides his parents, is one brother, John Richard Henschen. The ill-fated pilot was a nephew of Mrs. William Sutherland of Glencoe. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Graceland cemetery chapel.
