Robert Henry Unseld of 615 Lake Ave., Wilmette, died Thursday, July 12 [1951] Born in Chicago, he had been a resident of Wilmette for three years. Mr. Unseld, who was graduated from the University of Chicago, had been sales manager for amateur equipment for Bell and Howell Company for nearly 16 years. he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served the fraternity as its national rushing commissioner for three years. In the early 1930s, he held the position of vice-consul in Surabaya, Java. In 1946 Mr. Unseld finished five years' service in the Air Force with the rank of major. During this period he had been the Assistant Chief of the Air Force Experimentation Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio. Services were held at the Lain and Son Chapel in Chicago on Sunday, July 15, followed by burial at Kalamazoo, Mich. Surviving Mr. Unseld are his father, Frederick B. Unseld of Chicago, and an aunt, Miss Emma Furst, of Kalamazoo.
