Eighty Evanston children took part in a swimming exhibition at Northwestern University Saturday. Winners: First class - 1st place, Eleanor Ambler; 2nd place, Catherine Johnson; 3rd, Susan Tracy. Second class - 1st place, Adaline Hodgkins; 2nd place, Catherine Birkin; 3rd place, Jean McLeod. Third class - 1st place, Persis Whitehead; 2nd place, Helen Schatz. 3rd place, Bobsie Skinner. Fourth class - 1st place, Grace Pojian; 2nd place, Dorothy Hardenbrook; 3rd place, Margaret Wolcott. Fifth class - 1st place, Dorothy Edwards; 2nd place, Josephine Wilson; 3rd place, Elizabeth Jackson. Boys winnings - Eighty-yards: Max Hayford; Sixty-yards: Jack Hayford; Forty-yards: Gordon Ramsay; Also Phoebe Nelson of Glencoe, 5 years old, swam the full length of the swimming pool after diving from the spring board into the pool.
