William Bishop is spending several weeks in Lake Geneva, Wis.
Mrs. W. Connor, formerly of Winnetka, was a visitor here last week.
Miss Adelida Murphy has returned from a two weeks' visit in Harvard, Ill.
Mrs. Paul Wittstein is entertaining her niece, Miss Edwina Gage of Memphis, Tenn.
Miss Phoebe Brown has gone to Lake Geneva, Wis., to visit her sister, Mrs. James Goodman.
Miss Ethal Perley, daughter of the acting premier of Canada, is visiting Dr. and Mrs. Casey Wood.
Mrs. H. G. Moore of Batavia, who has been the guest of Mrs. J. G. Weart for several days, has returned.
John D. McKay has returned from a month's visit through the western part of the United States and Canada.
A new building is being erected on Foxdale avenue, near Eldorado, by the North Shore Improvement company.
Mrs. N. H. Schafchen has returned from a two weeks' visit with her daughter, Martha, in Traverse City, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Burt Brown and two sons, Tom and Ned, have gone to Harbor Springs, Mich., for several weeks.
Mrs. George Derickson has returned from Michigan, where she spent the summer with Mr. and Mrs. John Haslam of Kenilworth.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt McClain and family are visiting Mrs. McClain's parents in Los Angeles, Cal. They will be gone about six or eight weeks.
Friends of Mr. Edward Flynn, who has been confined for the past three weeks in the hospital, are glad to see him home again, in the best of health.
Mr. amd Mrs. F. D. Fulton, together with Mr. and Mrs. James Linn, have gone to California for the purpose of looking over some land in which Mr. Fulton is interested.
Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Dewindt have returned from the seashore and are now entertaining Mrs. DeWindt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Himes Arnold of Cambridge, Mass.
Among those who will give dinners this evening before the Paulist choristers sing at the garden party for the benefit of Arden Shore are Mr. and Mrs. George Higginson and Miss Caroline Kirkland.
Mr. J. W. Davies, Mr. Bissell and his two sons, Francis and Sanford, and Paul Calrow, have gone to Ludington, Mich. They got the camp ready for the Boy Scouts, who arrived on Monday.
Mrs. Murray Nelson, Jr., Mrs. James F. Porter, Miss Caroline Kirkland and Dr. Alice Barlow Brown were among the Winnetka representatives who appeared in the parade which went from the Art Institute to the Coliseum last week.
Miss Roseanna McKenney and Miss Dorothy Ilg gave a beach party to a number of their friends last Wednesday evening. The following were present: Misses Clara Kilby, Helen Nellessen, Hannah Maag, Gertrude Witt, Julia Roberts, Julia Lawrence, Loive Giolma, Lawra Koboldt, Jennie McKenney, Theresa McKenny and Clara Wagner, and Messrs. William Leck, Raleigh Leck, Nash Cazel, Henry Kilby, Fred Humlert, George Allen, Charles Maitzen, Frank Huntsman, James Stupner and Henry Ilg.
