J. Frank Hickey was convicted of murder in the second degree in the death of seven-year-old Joseph Josephs of Lackawanna on October 12, 1911. Hickey has also confessed to the murder by poison of Edward Morey in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1883, and the murder by strangulation of Michael Kruck, a New York newsboy in Central Park, December 10, 1902.
