Mary E. Parrish, age 82, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at the Paliative Care Hospice Center of Evanston Hospital, Evanston, Illinois. Mary was born December 7, 1927 in Moline, Illinois, to Carl Edward Peterson and Mabel Johnson Peterson. In 1949 she married Ralph Thamerus. Theirin South Bend, Indiana. In 1956 an automobile accident took Ralph's life. She married Thomas Parris in Mayfair Lutheran Church, June 18, 1960. John and Margaret were adopted by Tom, and in subsequent years, three more siblings were added to the family; Mila Louise, Martha Lee, and Earl Thomas II. Mary is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Parish; their children: John Edward, Margaret Elaine (Philipp), Mila Louise (Biberdorf), Martha Lee (Bush), and Earl Thomas II; six grandchildren and her brothers: Carl Edward, Jr. and Laverne Robert, and sisters-in-law Jean Thamerus Martin and Patricia Jane (Parrish) Ott.
