Historical Perspectives gave a dramatic performance about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. to the second grade Feb. 17.
A Special Book Banter will take place from 7-9 p.m. today in the school library. Tomorrow is the deadline to register for Jive for Five a "community celebration of commitment, generosity and accomplishment."
Open houses for children in kindergarten, first, second and fourth grade will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The PTA is now looking for volunteers for general board positions for the 2010-11 school year.
Registration is underway for 2010-11 kindergarten classes. The lottery for kindergarten placement will be on April 29.
The yearbook committee is grateful all Central teachers and parents who took and/or submitted photos for the yearbook. Junior Great Books is coming to a close. The program volunteers leading the classes this year include Anne Marie Montaquila, Susan Elmasry, Kathy Ambrosino, Marci Blunk, Liesel Brown, Marci Butler, Sarah Butter, Kathryn Calkins, Ami Campbell, Colleen DeNunzio, Sharon Glennon, Charmaine Goldman, Susan Gottlieb, Tricia Gutekanst, Coco Harris, Kathryn Hartrick, Karen Holmberg, Melanie Horowitz, Penny Kim, Erin Loeher, Anne Malueg, Krista Marino, Sarina McBride, Linda McKenzie, Deena Mitchell, Sarah O'Brien, Michal Shapiro, Gail Thomason, Ben Whitehouse, Stephanie Williams, Anne Williams and Stacey Woehrle.

The Club Central winter session ends March 25.

Early release day for first through fourth grade is 12:15 p.m. March 26.
School will be closed March 29-April 2 for Spring Break.

The spring session of Club Central will begin April 5th.
The Jumping Health and Fitness Food Drive will take place April 12-16. On April 15, the students will participate in the actual jumping event. Also during this week, the Central physical education department will be hosting a food drive to benefit a local food pantry.
