- The IHSA has approved lacrosse as a varsity sport for next spring. Comments by student Tyler Kroll, 14, of Winnetka, who plays lacross with his younger brother, Collin, age 10. The brothers have joined Team One Lacrosse, a first year program for youth players organized through park districts in St. Charles, Northbrook, Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston and Lake Forest. Organizers of Team One are John Combs and Phil Ryan. Team One's staff includes Rob Snyder, Todd Morgan, Mike O'Malley, and ick Marks.
A rival club is called True Lacrosse created y Mike Gabel and Jake Dean.
