- On March 10, students in second grade visited the Lego Discovery Center for a personalized tour and construction session. Today the fourth grade will spend a day at The Grove in Glenview learning Pioneer skills. On Tuesday the first grade will attend the high touch/high tech science presentation entitled "What's the Matter?" and Wednesday, students in fifth grade will visit the Robert Crown Center for a human reproduction presentation.
The kindergarten music concert will take place at 6:45 p.m. today in the Nygaard Auditorium.
The Kenilworth Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Multipurpose Room of the school.
The Joseph Sears School Parent Volunteer Association meeting will take place from 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesday.
The Junior High Concert Band will travel March 18 to the Northwestern University campus for a performance and clinic with a university director.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place March 19.
Student in sixth, seventh and eighth grades who have an "A" or "B" average for the second trimester without a grade below a "B-", will be honored at a breakfast March 22 at the school.
Kenilworth School District 38 has been awarded the 2010 School Search Bright Red Apple Award for Educational Excellence.
