- Norwegian-Americans are being asked to raise $275,000 to present to the Norwegian government May 17, the 100th anniversary of Norway's independence. The Daughters of Norway lodges will hold a fundrasing bazaar in Bjorguin's hall in Chicago on Artestian street near North avenue. Evanston residents Christian Golee, Miss Martha Pape and members of the North Shore Scandinavian male chorus and others will participate in musical and literary programs as part of the fundraiser. The following members of the Evanston lodge for "Normen" will be promoting the project: Martha Olsen 1030 Sherman avenue; Ellen Moe and Marie Foss, 927 Michigan avenue; Mildren Dlesen, Ravinia Park, and Maria abrahamsen 1426 Chicago avenue.
