- St. Joseph School will partner with New Trier High School in their on-going commitment to a Haitian school. The school is also named St. Joseph School and is located in Petit-Goave- just five miles from the epicenter of the earthquake.
St. Joseph School's 11th annual fund-raiser, FUNKTION, a benefit for St. Joseph School, will take place Feb. 27. Event co-chair is Patty Seymour. To volunteer, contact Jean Bolotin.
The St. Joseph School Board is accepting applications for three openings on the board for a three year term commencing with the 2010-11 school year. Those interested in becoming a member or receiving more information, may contact the chairperson of the nominating committee, Gary Delaney.
The PSO has added the job of volunteer coordinator to its board list. The PSO executive board has voted Cristina Burke and Debra Semple to fill this position
The purchases and/or clothing donations to the uniform/spirit wear sale in December enabled the school to make nearly $500 for the PSO. Contact Catherine Sullivan with donations or to arrange a private shopping appointment.
The St. Joseph Basketball sixth, seventh and eighth grade teams will play St. Norbert at home today. Sixth grade girls will play at 4:30 p.m.; seventh grade boys will play at 5:30 p.m.; eighth grade girls will play at 6:30 p.m.; eighth grade boys will play at 7:30 p.m.
The St. Joseph's Parish Lenten Mission will take place March 1-3. Fr. Francis "Rocky" Hoffman will lead the Parish through three evenings of reflection.
The new session of chess is underway and meets on from 3:20-4:20 p.m. Tuesdays in the school cafeteria.
