Ed Gjertsen II of Winnetka has organized the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League. The non-profit entity includes Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Kenilworth, Winnetka, Lake Forest, Northbrook, Park Ridge and Wilmette leagues. Each is a former member of the North Shore Baseball League. The new league expects to field 70 teams in six divisions for players between 9 and 14 years of age. Gertsen's children Andrew, 13, and Katherine, 11, have long competed in organized youth sports programs.
