Feb. 1, 7:15 p.m.: Wilmette resident Arthur Arfa leads First Monday Readers, also known as the Great Books discussion, in the Small Meeting Room. Details are at www.wilmettelibrary.info; look under Adult Programs. Feb. 9, 10:30 a.m.: Classics and Contemporary Book Group will discuss The Leopard by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. Feb. 22, 7 p.m.: Fourth Monday Readers will discuss Nothing To Be Frightened Of by Julian Barnes.

Hear a reading of an award-winning picture book and then create an illustration of a scene or character from the story. Feb. 6, 11 a.m.: Valentine Stories with Storybook Mom, for ages 3 and older. Feb. 8, 6:30-7 p.m.: Family Storytime for preschoolers. Feb. 13, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Animeniacs Anime Club meets in the Youth Program Room. Open to sixth-graders and up. Feb. 15, 3 p.m.: Newbery Award Book Discussion for grades 4-8, featuring The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. Participants must read the book in order to attend. Feb. 18, 4:15 p.m.: Celebrate Black History Month, for ages 6 and older. Watch a short film of an African folktale and hear a read-aloud of Daisy and the Doll by Michael Medearis. Feb. 20, 2 p.m.: Drawing Mythological Creatures, for ages 8 and older.
