Three cars stolen in Evanston were recovered by Wilmette police during the past week. Two had been abandoned in good condition, but the third was wrecked. Patrolman William Kreul found the car belonging to George Newhall, 1114 Grant St., Evanston early Friday morning. The car had been involved in a holdup of a store at 2510 Railroad Avenue, in Evanston. Patrolman George Schaffer discovered the automobile belonging to Virgil Curran of 920 Elmwood avenue, Evanston on Monday night. The car owned by Joseph Ozinski, of 1126 Florence Ave., Evanston, was wrecked by thieves. The Evanston police have made some arrests in connection with that theft.

The Jerry Valuy residence on Hibbard and Happ roads was burglarized. A complete set of silverware was turned over to the police by the children of William M. Klein, 400 Central St., who had found it abandoned near a new building at Fourth street and Central Avenue.
