Notice is hereby given that on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., the Appearance Review Commission of the Village of Wilmette will conduct a public hearing in the Second Floor Training Room, Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave., Wilmette, Illinois when matters listed below will be considered:

The petitioner requests an Appearance Review Certificate to permit an addition to the existing service station. The addition would extend from the north and west sides of the building. The petitioner's property is legally described as:
Lots 1, 2 and the east 10 feet of Lot 3 in Meadow Lane Addition to Wilmette, a subdivision of the South 837.02 feet of Lot 1 of subdivision of the south 80 acres of the east ½ of the southwest ¼ of Section 30, Township 42 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.

Beginning on the North line of the West half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 30 at a point 33feet west of and measured at right angles to the East line of the West half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence South parallel with said East line to a point 570 feet (as measured along said parallel line) North of the South line of the West half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence West parallel with said South line a distance of 335 feet; thence South parallel with said East line a distance of 510 feet; thence West parallel with said South line to a point 40 feet East of and measured at right angled to the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence North parallel with said West line to the North line of the West half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence West along said North line to a point 33 feet East of and measured at right angles to the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence North parallel with said West line to a point 33 feet South of and measures at right angles to the North line of the South half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence East parallel with the North line of the South half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said section to the northeast corner of Lot 4 in Block 2 in the subdivision of the West ¾ of the South half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, according to the plat of said subdivision recorded December 12, 1892 as Document1783909; thence South along the East line of said Lot 4 and the said East line extended South to the center line of an alley (now vacated) which lies South of and adjoining Lots 1 to 10 of Block 2 of said subdivision aforesaid; thence East along the center line of said alley to a point 33 feet West of and measured at right angles to the East line of the West half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 30; thence South to the point of beginning.

Altmans subdivision of the East 10 acres of the South 60 acres (except the East 40 feet thereof taken for street and except the South 837.02 feet thereof) of the East half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 42 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Median, according to the plat thereof recorded September 30, 1955 as Document #16378027, in Cook County, Illinois.
