●Senior, Ellie Molitor, took third prize in the photography category in the Great Frame Up's "Best of the Best" awards ceremony May 17
●Student filmmakers participated in the Second Annual Latin School Film Festival May 19. Ricky Arnopol took Best Direction and Max Perkins won Best Editing.
●Two student placed at the State Level at the State Drafting Competition at Illinois State University. Max Footlik took third in solids and Adam Cohen laced second in computer aided modeling
●Practical Arts Department's automotives classes welcome donations of cars to use as shop cars effective next fall. Contact Nathan Silvers

●Seven New Trier alumni, all former performing arts students, will sign copies of their new book entitled "Seven Friends--Sixty Years Later," Saturday at the Book Stall in WInnetka

●Spiro Bolos, New Trier Social Studies teacher, took students to the 2009 IFC Make Media Matter Panel Discussion at The Newberry Library in Chicago.
●Students in the business education department's financial management and accounting classes visited the Chicago Board of Trade in mid-May. Comments by Steve Belford, teacher, who arranged the trip. New Trier students placed in the first Midwest Chinese SpeechContest earlier this spring at North Side College Preparatory High School.
