The following programs are offered at the Wilmette Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave. Call (847) 256-5025.

Armchair Travels will take place at 1 p.m. and feature Iceland and Greenland May 21; and Tanzania and Zanzibar May 28. The program is free and open to the public. Call (847) 256-5025 and ask for the Community Service Office.

The library will be closed May 24 and 25 in observance of Memorial Day weekend. Regular hours will resume May 26.

The Summer Reading Club "Read on the Wild Side" will begin May 26. Information packets are available at the Reader's Assistance Desk. Visit www.wilmettelibrary.info/summerreadingclub.

ShawChicago Theater Company will present a concert reading of George Bernard Shaw's 1898 play "Candida" at 2 p.m. May 30.

Game Maker Academy for teens will take place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, May 27-June 24. To register, visit the Adult Reference Desk or call (847) 256-6935.

Scratch Open Studios for children ages 10-14 will take place from 2-4 p.m. May 30 and from 3-5 p.m. June 12.

High school students may stop by the Library Auditorium for a pizza and beverage break from 7-9 p.m. June 1.
