Student films were featured at the inaugural Greg Harris Film Festival April 29 at the Wilmette Theatre. The festival was created in honor of Greg Harris, and English and film teacher at New Trier High School who died in February. The event was planned by teachers Kimberly Berg, Chris Oetter and Carlos Trovato. Prize winners were Gregori Kanatzidis of Wilmette, Jack Klare of Wilmettee, Ricky Arnopol of Wilmette, Taylor Levy of Winnetka, Gary Vernon of Glenview, Diane Trevor of Wilmette, Marc Pearlman of Winnetka. Other finalists were alum Cody Fry of Northfield, Reide Smithe of Winnetka, Peter Martin of Winnetka, Carly Hill of Wilmette, Robert Pieta of Glenview, Adam Wisnstein of Wilmette, and Mike Kintop a New Trier teacher. Honorable mentions were Pamela Hugi of Glencie, Garane Lecoput of Wilmette, Eric Schriesheimof of Winnetka, Chris Aguilar of Wilmette, Chelsea Delaney of Kenilworth, Joshua Perry of Wilmette, Franny Mendez Levitan of Winnetka, Mitchell Friedman of Wilmette, Greg Greenberger of Wilmette, Adam Johnson of Winnetka, Erisa Apantaku of Wilmete, Daniel Gill of Winnetka, Natasha Ziv of Winnetka, Gigi Schiller of Glencoe, Adam Davis of Wilmette, Danielle Goritz of Wilmette.
