Mrs. George Gifford, 211 Fifth street, is convalescing from a serious illness.

Mrs. George Mason, 1139 Central avenue, is spending the winter in Monmouth, Illinois.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. Gordon Smith, 515 Lake avenue, Sunday, December 27

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Saenger, 228 Wood court, are spending the holidays in Waugkegan

Mrs. Estelle Pratt, 1129 Central avenue, left Wednesday for a month's visit in Allegan, Michigan.

D. A. E. Eagles, 123 Broadway avenue, returned Wednesday from a week's visit with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Mitchell and family [unclealr] Linden avenue, will spend New Year's day in Rogers Park.

Mrs. Foresman and family of Park avenue are spending the olidays with relatives in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Werden [unclear] Kline street, are spending a fortnight with relatives in Waukegan.

Mr. and Mrs. Foster Branson of 1119 Lake avenue will return the first of next week form Atchison, Kansas.

Mr. and Mrs. Ira M. Hatch, 915 Greenleaf avenue, will leave tomorrow for their new home in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Bockman, 831 Oakwood avenue, gave a family Christmas dinner. Covers were laid for nine.

Little Florence Slade of Chicago is spending the week at the home of Mrs. C. D. Slade, 117 Broadway avenue.

Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Porter, 1326 Forest avenue, spent Christmas and the weekend at Dr. Porter's home in La Porte, Indiana.

Mr. Carlton Kaumeyer, [unclear] Linden avenue, will return shortly to Lake Forest Avenue where he is attending school.

Dr. and Mrs. A. E. Wood of Detroit, Michigan, were the guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Mitchell, 811 Linden avenue.

Mr. William Schroeder of Burlington, Iowa, was the guest this week of Mr. and Mrs. Carl S. Schroeder of 711 Park avenue.

Mrs. Hensley of Indianapolis, Indiana, is spending several days with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Thomas of 723 Forest avenue.

Dr. E. R. Mulford of La Crosse, Wisconsin, has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mlford, 835 Elmwood avenue.

Mr. Lester Graves of New York City is visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Graves, 105 Sixth avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taber of Battle Creek, Michigan, are the guests of Rev. and Mrs. B. Frank Taber, 1018 Eleventh street.

Mr. and Mrs. Karl D. King and [unclear], 911 Greenwood avenue, have returned from a visit in Cleveland, Ohio, over the holidays.

Mr. [unclear] Williams of Chicago was the dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick G. White, 1021 Central avenue, Tuesday, evening.

Mrs. Walter Hopewell of Omaha, Nebraska, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. Nye Macalister, 918 Ashland avenue, through the holidays.

Mrs. Albert W. Noyes and daughter, Marjorie, 827 Oakwood avenue, returned Wednesday evening from a week's visit in [illegible], Illinois.

Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Coburn 400 Eighth street, returned Wednesday from a holiday visit with Mrs. Coburn's mother in Madison, Wisconsin.

Mr. Clinton DeWitt of Traverse City, formerly of Wilmette, has been spending the week with Mr. Carlton Kaumeyer, 601 Linden avenue.

Mrs. Frank Scheidenhelm [unclear] Forest avenue, will have as her guest on New Year's, her brother, Mr. W. Knauer of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Miss Mary Blaisdell of Alma College, Michigan, has been spending the holidays with the Misses Marjorie and Jean Hatch, [unclear] Greenleaf avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. [unclear] Couffer and family of Pittsburgh, Pa., will spend New Year's and the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John D. Couffer [unclear] Lake avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. Klemm, Park avenue, gave a family dinner on Christmas Day. The guests included Mrs. [?] Klemm and Miss Helen Klemm of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. [?] H. Klemm of Evanston.

Messrs. A. G. Scheidenhelm of [unclear] and [?] Scheidenhelm of Pittsburgh, Pa., returned Tuesday after being the guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Scheidenhelm, 804 [?] Forest avenue.

Miss Margaret Renneckar, 1022 Eleventh street, had as her guests over the weekend, several of her friends from Chicago. The party attended the dance at the Ouilmette Country Club Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lee of South Bend, Indiana, are spending the holidays with their son, Mr. H. Vernes Lee and family of 1402 Forest avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lee and son of Ravenswood were guests at the Lee home on Christmas day.

Mr. Jacob Scheidenhelm of Mendota, Wis., has been visiting his two sons, Messrs F. J. Scheidenhelm, 804 Forest avenue, and F. L. Scheidenhelm, 701 Lake avenue. On Sunday a family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Scheidenhelm.
