North Shore Country Day School welcomes the following new faculty and staff for the 2008-09 school year.

Vince Brumfiel, part-time Upper School math teacher, has bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees in mathematics from the University of Michigan.

Julie Datz, seventh grade humanities teacher, has a bachelor of science degree in speech and hearing from the University of Illinois.

Allison Dodds, development assistant, has a bachelor of arts degree in music with a minor in arts administration from Northwestern University.

Jim Franke, Upper School math teacher, has a bachelor of science degree in economics from Bradley University, and a master's degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

Peter Grassman, fifth grade assistant teacher and coach, has a bachelor of arts degree in history from Carleton College.

Alex Gutierrez, Middle School art teacher and coach, has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland with a specialization in painting and drawing and an interdisciplinary specialization master of arts degree from Maryland Institute of College of Art.

Eliza Harrigan, Middle School sixth grade humanities teacher, received her bachelor of arts degree in architectural studies and art history from Connecticut College and a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Elizabeth Holding, part time Upper School English teacher, has bachelor of science and master of arts degrees in theater, speech, English, and performance studies from Northwestern University.

Jordan Kravitz, Middle School humanities teacher and coach, received a bachelor of arts degree in English from Amherst College.

David Kubacki, Middle School sixth grade humanities and seventh grade science teacher and coach, has a bachelor of science degree in English and zoology from the University of Wisconsin.

Elizabeth Lang comes to North Shore as an Upper School chemistry and biology teacher. She has a bachelor of arts degree in music with course work in chemistry, biology and physics from Beloit College.

Sue Leoni, Lower School junior kindergarten teacher, received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois and her master of arts degree in reading from Northeastern Illinois University.

Omar Mance, Upper School boys' basketball coach, has a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Rice University.

Adam Mangana, admissions associate and coach, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in public and private sector organizations and classics from Brown University.

Beatrice McKenna, part time Upper School French teacher, has degrees from Lycee Jean de La Fontaine, Paris, in literature, English and Spanish; Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, Paris, in Japanese; Queen's University, Belfast, in English proficiency; and a bachelor of arts degree in behavioral sciences from National Louis University.

Anna Nardulli, Lower School junior and senior kindergarten art teacher, has a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting and art education, and a master's degree in art education from the University of Illinois.

Cameron Nicholson, director of strategic initiatives, received a bachelor of science degree in sports administration from Northern Illinois University.

Steven Pichman, Upper School physics teacher, has a bachelor of science degree in physics from Eastern Illinois University.

Read Powel, communications assistant and coach, received a bachelor of arts degree in communication with a minor in English literature from Denison University.

Merrilee Redmond, part time Middle School French teacher, received her bachelor of arts degree from Barat College and master of science degree in education from the University of New York.

Dana Specht, Middle School eighth grade humanities teacher and coach, received her bachelor of arts degree in sociology and her master of education degree in social studies education from the University of Minnesota.

Berkley Welles, college counseling assistant and coach, has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from St. Lawrence University.
