Notes:
Wilmette police this week are asking residents to lock cars and garages after a spate of 20 burglaries. Increased overnight patrols in affected neighborhoods led to one arrest July 2. Dajuan A. Blackwell, 17, of 1824 Grey Ave., Evanston, was charged with possession of stolen property to appear in court Aug. 20. In a separate development, the Evanston and Wilmette police departments executed a search warrant at a home on the 900 block of Emerson St. in Evanston, and are attempting to trace property recovered to owners.
