Mrs. Clifton M. Utley of Chicago comments on the Thomas Amendment to the Neutrality Act. Mrs. Maurice A. Pollack, chairman of the Department of Government and Economic Welfare for the League of Women Voters, anounced the issuance of a pamphlet on "Housing in Illinois" written to supplement League material on housing for low-income groups which contains material of the National Housing Act of 1937. A cal to convention has been issued by Mrs. George G. Bogert, president of the Illinois League of Women oters. Keynote speaker will be Mrs. Louise Leonar dWright, chairman of the department of government and Foreign Policy for the League. Mrs. R. C. McNamara is chairman of the convention and the program committee consists of Mrs. Robert Phillips of Glen Ellym, Mrs. Walter Rubens of Highland Park, Mrs. Matthew P. Gaffney and Mrs. Walter T. Fisher of Winnetka, Mrs. Raleigh Stone, Mrs. Clifton M. Utley, and Mrs. A. H. Berg of Champaign, local chairman of arrangements.
