Mrs. Benedict Vollman (Susanna Reinert), 430 Ridge road, a pioneer resident of Wilmette, died on February 9 at St. Francis hospital in Evanston. Mrs. Vollman's father, Peter Reinert, was born in Broddorf, Germany, on May 5, 1816, and landed in America on May 5, 1853. Mrs. Vollman was married on May 5, 1880, and later one of her daughters, Anne was born on the same day in the month of May. When Mrs. Vollman's father came to Gross Point, now a part of Wilmette, he bought a farm at Ridge road and Wilmette avenue, where he died. Mrs. Vollman was born March 18, 1857, in the old family homestead, which was later torn down. Four children survive her. They are the Rev. A. J. Vollman, pastor of St. John's Catholic church at Johnsburg in McHenry county, and the Misses Elizabeth, Anne and Magdalena Vollman, all of whom live on Ridge road, Wilmette.
