Hettie Merriam Ricketts, 807 Ashland avenue, Wilmette, died on Wednesday of last week at the Evanston hospital of injuries sustained on February 1 in a fall at her home. A descendant of an old American family which first settled in 1638 in Concord in Massachusetts Bay colony, and which migrated to southeastern Ohio over a century ago, she came to Chicago in 1889. She is survived by her husband, C. Lindsay Ricketts; by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur T. Goodman and Mrs. Jasper S. King, both of Winnetka, and by a sister, Miss Mary Merriam, who makes her home with a niece, Mrs. Thomas Gibson of Wilmette.
