Notes:
Tony Cash serves coffee to customers at the Metra train station near Central Street and Green Bay road in Wilmette. After more than 10 years, Cash stands to lose his lease for the space, which is managed by the village. Gross Point Cafe, which has a store at Wilmette Avenue and Ridge Road, will take over Cash's space 30 days after the contract is approved by trustees, who are set to vote on the matter in March. The new operators, are Gross Point Cafe owners Mike and Melissa Hogan. They plan to serve Intelligentsia Coffee. Cash initially bought the operation in 1997 from the Braverman family which had pioneered a chain of train station cafes in the 1970s.
