Notes:
Feb. 2, was the 19th annual Youth Art Fair at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview sponsored by the Glenview Art League.
the following winners:

First grade: Nicholas Peneff, first, Rachel Luo of Glenview's Lyon School, second, and Karina Benson, third.

Second grade: Eric Schmit of The Art School in Glenview, first; Nicole Basil of Wilmette's McKenzie School, second, and Becky Lee of The Art School, third.

Third grade: Eliz Agkun of The Art School, first; Reily Jesser of The Art School, second, and tied for third place, Ryan Sasaki of Lions Park School in Mount Prospect and Kaylyn Du of Northbrook's Meadowbrook School.

Fourth grade: Lauren Benson, first; Erika Bim of Washington Elementary in Glenview, second, and Victoria Sorin of Skokie's Middleton School, third.

Fifth grade: Harrison Swanson of The Art School, first; Katherine Borg of Sabina Studios in Skokie, second, and Neeka Haack of Village Art School in Skokie, third.

Sixth grade: Sally Alvarado of Skokie's Sabina Studios and Isabelle Trier of Washington Elementary tied for first place. Isabelle also was awarded Best of Show. Rachel Weisbecker of Evanston Arts Center and Sabina Studios placed second, and tied for third place were Andrew Blank of Northbrook Junior High and Claire Hogan of Skokie's Village Art School.

Seventh grade: Melanie Vujovich of Lincoln Hall in Lincolnwood placed first, Michael Kinsella of Northbrook Junior High placed second, and Riana Vujovich of Lincoln Hall placed third.

Eighth grade: David Han of The Art School placed first, Mackenzie Rech of The Art School placed second and Kevin Neuhengen of Sabina Studios placed third.

The judges were so impressed with the first prize high school winner that she was juried into the League's adult summer art fair, Sherman stated. She is Stephanie Kang of Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights.

Other high school winners were: Annie Raccuglia of Wilmette's Loyola Academy, second and Eunbee Lee of The Art School, third. Honorable Mentions were awarded Yein Kwak of The Art School and Allie Mendelson and Brianna Neilsen of Sabina Studios.
