Matthew G. Lambrecht, a registered jeweler, recently completed the annual re-certification examination of the American Gem Society. His family's Wilmette store, Lambrecht's Jewelers Inc., at 1131 Central Ave., is a member of the society.

Carol Moss of Wilmette, a licensed clinical social worker with offices in Wilmette, recently incorporated the technique of sound meditation into her therapeutic practice.


Dr. Todd S. Ing of Wilmette recently received the 2008 Medal of Excellence Award from the American Association of Kidney Patients. The award recognizes a renal physician who has dedicated his or her career to the advancement and treatment of kidney disease, and the care of kidney patients.



The Wilmette office of Koenig & Strey GMAC has named Dorota Szostek of Kildeer, Ill., as the sales leader for December 2007. Mary Posner was recognized as the listing leader for the month.

Joan Schellhorn of Wilmette, was named chief human-resources officer of PrivateBancorp, and managing director and chief human-resources officer of PrivateBancorp-Chicago.



Dr. Ronald Curran of Wilmette recently was appointed by Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago to lead their cardiac initiatives and cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services.



Thomas R. Hill of Wilmette, leader of the litigation practice group at Dykema, a law firm in Chicago, recently was made a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.



Benjamin Geiger is dean of the biology faculty and director of the Kirk Center for Childhood Diseases, established through the support of Donald L. Kirk of Wilmette.
