Notes:
State Sen. Jeff Schoenberg D-9th is planning to introduce new legislation to exempt the Safe Rides program from new curfew laws preventing their teen volunteers from providing the weekend-night ride service to New Trier students. The program, sponsored by the Boy Scouts and organized for students at New Trier High School, gives safe rides home to teens needing it due to alcohol consumption or social discomfort. The program is now illegal and suspended based on January 1 legislation aimed at keeping teens off the road after 11 p.m.
