Kenilworth residents, Bill Holland and John Mangel II, say the new Joseph Sears Party has departed from the village's nonpartisan election structure by seeking advice from two Republicans, neither of whom live in town. They maintain John Tsarpalas and John Koziol, who offered their advice, are executives in the Illinois Republican Party. Joseph Sears Party members say the men offered their advice as private individuals, outside of their party affiliation. Tsarpalas is a Wilmette rsident. He said he notarized the nominating petitions of Kristin Kelly Casas and running mates John Phillips and Kevin Callahan. The friend who invited Tsarpalas is Kenilworth resident Ned Leuchtner. Koziol said he is an outside consultant.
