James M. Krafthefer, 63, of 901 Oakwood avenue, died Tuesday at Leesburg, Fla., where he had been with his wife since February 10. When his illness became serious his son James went to Leesburg to be with his parents. Survivors are his widow, Marguerite; two sons, James and David, both of Wilmette, and six daughters, Paula June of Wilmette; Mrs. Edward B. Casey, Chicago; Mrs. John A. Howard, Chicago; Sister Immaculee of St. Mary's of the Woods, Indiana; Mrs. George May, Chicago; Mrs. Albert Thompson, San Francisco, Mrs. Anna Mueller and Mrs. Herman Bobene of Chicago, are sisters. The remains are being brought to Wilmette, and funeral services are expected to be held Saturday morning at St. Francis Xavier church. Burial will be in All Saint's cemetery. Mr. Krafthefer was president of the Pennoyer Merchants Transfer company of Chicago, with which concern he had been associated for thirty years.
