David F. Kaiser, a resident of Evanston for 32 years, died Jan. 14 at Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie. He was 57.
Born April 2, 1950, in Chicago, he was a graduate of Brother Rice High School in Chicago. He attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and then received a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
He later went on to earn a master's degree in business administration from DePaul University in Chicago and eventually earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation as an insurance broker.
Mr. Kaiser worked in the insurance industry for many years. He recently retired from the Aon Corp.
He volunteered as a coach for elementary school and Chicago Youth Organization basketball, soccer and chess teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rita (nee Grill) Kaiser.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Marianne (nee Grogan); son Michael; daughters Laura and Maureen; sister Diane (Rick) Jones; brothers Daniel and Dennis (Mary Jo); and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 17 at St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church in Evanston.
Interment was private.
